About

One crew, one shop, one neighbourhood, since 2006.

Father Nature Landscapes started with one crew in Tacoma in 2006. Same shop, same neighbourhood, same way of working. We design and build outdoor living spaces across the South Sound: decks and patios, outdoor kitchens, pergolas and arbors, water features, drainage, irrigation and planting.

What has not changed is who turns up. Chris or Cameron walks your property before anything is drawn, our own crew does the building, and Carl looks after it afterwards. There is no handover to a subcontractor you have never met, which is the main reason most of our clients call us back for a second or third project.

Our values

How we work, and why people call us back.

See it before the shovel

Your conceptual design is a real plan with a real number attached: layout, materials, planting, lighting and a clear estimate, worked out before the first day of work rather than discovered halfway through it.

One crew, start to finish

The same people design your project, build it, and come back for it. No handoff to a crew you have never met the morning after the deposit clears.

We do not disappear at the end

Walkthrough, punch list, follow-up, and then seasonal care if you want it. Most of our clients come back for a second or third project, which only works if the first one still looks right years later.

The team

The people you will actually deal with.

Two owners who still walk properties themselves, the person who answers the phone, and the person who looks after your landscape once it is built.

Chris Scheer

Outdoor Living SpecialistCo-owner

Founded Father Nature Landscapes in Tacoma in 2006 and still walks properties and meets clients himself before a project begins. If you book a site visit, Chris is often the person who turns up.

Outdoor Living SpecialistCo-owner

Leads the design conversation, from the first walk around the property through the materials palette and the detail drawings. Cameron is the other name on the first meeting.

Office Manager

The first voice on the phone. Jennifer handles enquiries, keeps the build schedule honest and makes sure the crew and the client are looking at the same calendar.

Runs the maintenance side, so the pruning, mulch, irrigation and winter prep stay on a real schedule long after the build crew has packed up.
